The video from phase 1 of the Cross Culture Surf programme has won first prize for the best amateur documentary at the 35th Basque Film Festival, held in Lekeitio on 1st December 2012. Filmaker Pello Salaberria was presented with the gold award and 1200€ in prize-money for his work.
“It is great that people like Pello who believed in the project and who were willing to invest time and energy into helping us promote it, are deservedly recognised for the hard work” said Cross Culture Surf co-founder Joseba Attard.
