Ireland / Basque Country 2013 > Spanish Point

Phase 1 of this exchange took place in Spanish Point (Co. Clare, West Ireland) in October 2013, and involved 40 participants from Ireland and the Basque Country. Our official Irish exchange partners, The Surf Project put together a great programme for the week that included a wide range of team-building activities, cultural workshops, Irish dancing and day-trips to the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and Lahinch. They also provided catering and surf lessons over the whole week. Funding for this trip was given by the European Union Youth in Action scheme. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience a new culture and to make new friends! We are very grateful to the Surf Project team, the Griffin family for hosting our welcome meal in Roscrae, Clare County Council, Clare Care and also to Pete McNamara coaches.
