‘La primera ola’ is a documentary that traces the origins of surfing in Spain, through first-hand accounts and stories, accompanied by vintage photographs and footage.
Over 80 surfing pioneers recount what it was like to be a surfer in Spain at the time. Add to that 3km worth of unedited Super 8 film, hundreds of images and over 10,000km worth of travel time in search of the best tales, and you have all the ingredients for what promises to be a very tasty surf film giving unique insight into the origins of surfing and surf culture in Spain.
La Primera Ola will premiere at the Surfilm Festibal in Donostia/San Sebastián, at the end of June 2015. After that it will be shown on CANAL+. Don’t miss it!
